I HAVE A PEARL THAT WAS FOUND IN A CLAM. IT IS ABOUT 1OO YRS OLD WAS MY GRANDMOTHER'S FATHERS. I THINK IT WAS FOUND IN THE NORTH CAROLINA COASTAL SOUNDS. I KNOW IT MEASURES 12.2 MM AND IT IS IN ORIGINAL SHELL. HOW CAN I FIND OUT THE VALUE OF THIS ITEM. THANKS, SCOTT MCNAMARA.

Thank you for the photo. What a lovely quahog pearl. From the photo it looks very round, very purple, very large..wow! 12.2mm, right?

Any chance of seeing a photo? It's neat that a pearl would be treasured for 100 years as a family heirloom. I think that's what natural pearls are all about....treasured heirlooms.
