9mm Quahog Pearl

9mm Quahog Pearl

I found this one about 10 years ago! I thought it was unusual to find in a clam so I just kept it.

Now I see all kinds of news and people sharing their pics and selling them.

Mine is 9mm round x 8mm high. It has a lavender center spot and also a swirl coming up from bottom and ending at the spot!

Welcome to the "Quahog Pearl Club"....well, there really isn't one officially yet, maybe we should start one.

Thanks for sharing your photo and story. How did you find it anyway? The swirl sounds unique. Your pearl is very uniform in shape and very nice.

Funny, today, I was poking around a Goodwll store and found 2 Quahog shells....shucks, no pearls though, maybe next time.

Seeing all these photos and reading the stories is making me want to find a Quahog pearl too.
