Abalone Pearl

by Edwin
(Santa Rosa CA US)

My grandpa pulled a pearl from an abalone twenty-six years ago. It measurements are 37mm long by 23mm wide and it is really beautiful to look at. I was only one years old when he found the abalone pearl.

Abalone pearl
by: Kari

Hello Edwin,

Thanks for sharing about your grandpa's abalone pearl. It is always special to find a natural pearl and abalone pearls are especially beautiful!

If you can show us a photo, just email it to me here: karipearls(AT)gmail(DOT)com and I can easily add it to your page for you.

I really enjoy seeing photos of the pearls that people tell us about here on these fun "found a pearl" pages.

Your grandpa's pearl has a nice size to it.

Thanks again for telling us about your grandpa's pearl...it must be very special.
