An Easier Way to Knot Pearls

by Margo Conklin
(Wichita Falls, TX)

Fret Not! I have an easier way to knot pearls.

Place a thick sewing needle into a round pin cushion (point side down)

Thread on a pearl (I use Japanese silk cord) Place the pearl up against the back side of the needle. Make a knot and place it over the needle while holding your pearl up against the other side of the needle.

Pull your knot tightly up against the pearl. (I push the needle up against the pearl while doing this)

Remove the needle.
Practice makes perfect.

Thank you, Margo, for sharing your easy method of pearl knotting. Interesting, isn't it, how there can be more than one way to do something...and yes, you are so right, practice makes perfect.
