Another pearl (from a king crab leg)

I purchased some king crab legs from a popular named grocery store. I had to go to 2 different stores before I could find any. I purchased all that they had left.


I cooked this dinner special for my father-in-law. He is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. He loves crab!

We're sitting at the dining table, when he say's, look at this. He extends his hand out open with what looks like a pearl in it. He said, he got out of the leg.

We couldn't believe what we were seeing. His wife looked it up on the internet.

She came back to us and said; it is rare to find a pearl in a crab leg and it supposed to be good luck. I truly hope it is!

It's white, not a totaly smooth surface with some orange looking color on it. Also it looks darker underneath in some spots. Its fairly large too. Don't know for sure if it is a pearl, but its a great story none the less.

Susie your a true pearl yourself.To have a step sister who is as loving and unselfish as you is a treasure.Im sure that James is looking down from heaven and smiling,still remembering that special dinner.Just think sue,you gave the whole family a treasure and an on going legacy.Love you

This was my story. I wanted to say that, unfortunatley my father-in-law past away in Oct. 08. He faught his cancer longer than the Dr. gave him. I'm said for him to go. I just wanted to say that I still have the pearl he found. I continue to look for another pearl from a king crab leg. I always remember that special dinner.

Yes, Susan is truly a special young woman~she is married to my wonderful Step-son and has always cared & given so much to those around her...she is as beautiful inside, as she is on the outside.

I also believe that finding that particular pearl was a special blessing for our family....if anyone deserves to experience a special good luck blessing, it is Susan...not that she needs one~her life is full and happy and filled with light and the love of all who know her.

I know this girl, yes, I do, Known her all her life just about, she is the kindest & most gentle person. Susie Q is well reveared by her father-in-law. They all love the king crab & no one deserves GOOD LUCK more than James (father-in-law). Sending as much "LUCK" as I could muster up over the miles. I'm sure there is more headed your way, James.

your father-in-law is so lucky to have such a caring daughter-in-law...how nice it was for you to treat him to some king crab that day, as he is struggling thru cancer treatment!

This was a great story, how nice that you wanted to give your father-in-law a special crab feast...

This truly sounds mystical and loaded with meaning to me, like a good luck blessing recieved from the father in law (find the pearl in the crab) and then shared with his daughter in law...
