The 132 natural pearls in this necklace are superbly matched for color, shape, and luster. A necklace of this quality may have taken years for a pearl dealer to assemble!

The necklace dates to circa 1900-1915 and clearly has been very well cared for. The pearls are round, of a warm white color with pinkish orient. They graduate from 4.49mm at the center, to 1.81mm at the clasp.

(Please note, the pearls are lighter and more pinkish than they appear in the photographs, which were taken in natural light with no color adjustment. They are NOT yellow, as they may look on the screen. Pinkish orient is highly desirable in natural pearls, but hard to capture in a photograph.)

The clasp is platinum, expertly crafted in a marquise shape with fine chasing and engraving. Each side is set with five bright white European- and single-cut diamonds, with a total weight in the range of 0.20-0.25 ct.

The pearls have just been restrung on white silk, for a total length of 17.5 inches. The certificate shown, as well as the appraisal for $8,615, are included.

Antique pearl necklaces of this quality and condition are scarce. This would be a beautiful addition to a collection, or make a spectacular gift!
