Well, yippee for you to find a pearl! Very few folks find pearls...it must be a thrilling experience.
The photo is great. It reminds me of the petrified oyster shells I found on the shore of the Thames River in London. The archaeologist that was guiding us explained that if the oyster shell was flat, it had grown naturally, if it was bent out of shape, it had most likely been commercially grown in crowded ways by the Romans when they occupied London...way back when.
