ON OCTOBER 12th,2008 I FOUND MY FIRST CONCH PEARL AS I WAS SEPARATING THE MANTLE FROM THE MAIN BODY OF THE CONCH.I FOUND A PEARL SEALED INTO WHAT LOOKED LIKE A POUCH HIDDEN UNDER THE MANTLE OF THE CONCH.IT WAS SO PRETTY,AND I STARTED SEARCHING FOR MORE BUT FOUND ANOTHER ONE UNTIL SIX MONTHS AFTER.

Nice pink conch pearl
by: Kari

Hello Clive,

That's a nice pink conch pearl with a nice shape and it looks like there might be some flame there too, although I cannot see it clearing in the photo.

Wow, and then you were persistent to search for another one too. Finding the first one must have been very motivating.

I apologize for not commenting sooner...I get busy with so many things that I don't always keep up with my comments, although I love recognizing people's posts and appreciate every one!

I have never eaten conch meat, but it must be tasty.

What have you decided to do with your pearls?

Thank you again for sharing your thrilling discoveries!
