Crab pearl

I was eating an Alaskan King Crab tonight and bit into this. Was wondering if it is actually a pearl and, if so, if it has any value? Also, has anyone else found one before? Thanks :)

What a fun surprise, although maybe more for your dentist than for you! I'm so new to the idea of crabs producing pearls but I certainly wouldn't turn down a great story!

Yes, lots of folks have found these pearls in crabs. I don't know of value. I don't think much. More of a novelty item.

Thanks for sharing. Putting in a tiny bottle on a chain would be a great way to enjoy it.
