CT quahog pearl

While eating my clam sauce a felt something in my mouth that didn't feel right...to my surprise I spit out a beautiful skittle shaped pearl...Didn't know clams had pearls until I started to research...

Did anyone get theirs appraised, or know where to get it appraised?

I went to a local jeweler, but he was of no help ...
