ENORMOUS black pearl set in 18k white gold

This amazing ring needs a new home. It was custom made in New York, and features a HUGE, nearly 3/4" Tahitian black pearl! It is set in 18k white gold (hallmarked) and the ring weighs over 1/2 ounce. Approximate size 6-1/2. Original owner paid over $5,000 for it, perhaps 1/5 of that would be a reasonable price to ask? I really don't know, and being in a rural area means an appraisal is not practical, so I'd be very grateful for any ideas/suggestions/offers! More photos if requested.
