Finding pearls at work, Are they valuable?

Years ago I worked at a canning facility. I was a mechanic and found them when I was taking apart the machinery to clean it. They came from natural conch and clams from the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of NJ.

All natural pearls have some value
by: Kari

Hi Joe,

All natural pearls have some value, just that some have more than others. I'd have to take some time and see better photos to give you some idea of value but rest assured that, yes, they have some value, even if not a great amount. Thank you so much for sharing! Very interesting way to find natural pearls, by the way. First time I have ever heard of them being found in machinery!
