Hungarian Pearls Photo by Kari It is located in the artsy city of Szentendre, which is very near to Budapest and easily reached by train from the capital city. Solid gold jewelry was predominant at other museums in Budapest, but naturally, I was seeking jewelry decorated with pearls.  Hungarian Brooch with Pearls Photo by Kari Three other reasons why I liked this museum is one...it was free, unlike most of the other many museums in Szentendre.  Hungarian Jewelry with Pearls Photo by Kari Another reason that impressed me with the Caprice museum is they picked up my husband and I downtown and brought us back for free.

At other museums in Budapest it is customary to charge for the privilege of taking photos and it's not only a token charge either.  Hungarian Brooch with Pearls Photo by Kari But....I was able to take photos inside the Budapest parliament building which houses the famous Hungarian crown of St. Stephen from the 11th century.
