Is this a quahog pearl?

I bought clams and mussels for a clamnbake and this was in my mouth after eating,,, how do I tell if it's a pearl?

Hi Tara, It looks like a pearl from the photo. If you found it in a Little Neck or Cherrystone clam, then it most likely is a quahog pearl. Finding a pearl is always special. Even if yours is a small one, the color looks like a strong deep color. I hope you enjoy and cherish your natural pearl. These are becoming quite collectable and always have value.
