Jack pot in the buffet line??

by J beaudry
(spokane, wa)

crab pearl ?

crab pearl ?

I was eating king crab at a seafood buffet at an Idaho casino when something fell out of the claw shaped like a small bird egg.

At first I thought it might be some kind of egg and I tried to break it open but it was much to hard. That's when i wondered if it might be some type of pearl?

This one is rather large. I brought it home as a curiosity.

Huge size

Assuming that the measurements are in inches, yes, that is a very large crab "pearl"! It would certainly be a surprise to find one of these.

I'm glad you brought it home. It should lend itself to some interesting discussions.
