Purple & White Quahog Pearl

Purple & White Quahog Pearl

I found a lavender and white pearl in a cherrystone clam in 1962 while opening clams in the family restaurant. Have kept it as a curio all these years and just found out they have value. This one is about 13mm and slightly flattened on the bottom, otherwise perfectly round.

Actually measurements: 11.5mm x 10mm

I found a miniscule pearl in my chowder once, no value whatsoever, and it has a home in my curio cabinet with the rest of my 'treasures' but it certainly doesn't have the beautiful coloring like yours. Congratulations on a family heirloom!!
