My Mom's Quahog Pearl!

My mom has been carrying this pearl around with her for at least 20 years. My mom was working in a restaurant at the time and an old man gave it to my mom one day saying he had found it in a quahog.

We have no idea if it's worth anything. Mom and I brought to a gemologist, however she had never heard of a Quahog so she had no idea of what it could be worth.

I'd be interested in hearing from someone who can tell me if the pearl is in good condition and if it may be worth something.
