Pearl for Sale

Thank you for your interest in adding your pearl for sale on my site.

Entering your pearl for sale is easy to do. Just fill in the blanks with the details. Be sure to include your email address, phone number and full real name.

Then add photos. Photos need to be clear, close up and less than 100K in size. I've been using PicMonkey.com to re-size photos. It's free and easy to use. I re-size to "500" width which usually makes photos less than 100K. 4 photos can be added. Click on the "click here to add more images" link to open up new windows for adding 3 more photos.

Here are the basic guidelines for selling on my site. Let me know if you have any questions.

Current guidelines for selling on my site:

1. No fee to list them/it on my site.

2. You may ask me to remove them/it for sale at any time.

3. You provide photos, measurements, weights, description. People like stories, so details are great.

4. You determine the price you wish to receive including your shipping and insurance costs when sending your pearl to me when/if it sells. I live in Muscatine, Iowa, USA. I add 20% commission, Paypal fees & shipping fees to your desired price and list it on my site.

5. I post them on my site with Paypal options or wire transfer options for higher priced items.

6. If/when the item sells, I take payment, give you your asking price & I keep my commission. I like to give the buyer a couple of days to look over the pearl to make sure they like it before sending you payment. It's much simpler that way and avoids unnecessary confusion.

7. You send the pearls directly to the buyer, or to me. We can arrange what's best.

8. You must let me know if you sell them/it yourself, making them/it no longer available for sale.

9. I make no promises for a sale. Naturally, I will try my best to promote your pearls, after all, I will make a commission, but I make no promises. Best results happen when you are also promoting your pearls or pearl jewelry. (Link will open up a page with ideas for you to get free advertising for your pearls.)

10. You may lower the prices at any time, but not raise them.

11. If someone makes an offer other than the listed price, I pass it on to you and you decide whether or not to accept the offer.

12. I reserve the right to not list your pearl or jewelry on my site. For example, if I feel a particular pearl needs a certificate to be sold or more information or photos, I may prefer to not list it.

13. If a certificate is requested it is the seller's responsibility to provide it. Two recommended labs in the USA are GIA and EGL. Other lab certificates, such as from Bahrain Pearl Lab, are also acceptable.

14. Please be patient with your submissions. Due to time constraints it may take some time before I can post them. Please contact me if you are wondering about a submission you have posted and not seen on my site yet.
