Purple and White pearl

by James
(jackson NJ Ocean)

Well I have been harvesting clams on and off for some thirty years and never seen anything like it. Was sucking them for a chowder broth when this purple and white one shows up. Thought it was an odd thing to come across. Guess I will have it set into some thing for the wife. Guess when I do that will find out what its worth is.

Shows rarity
by: Kari

Hello James,

If you've been shucking clams off and on for thirty years and have just found your first pearl, that shows how rare these things are.

I'm glad for you that you found one and it sounds like it's pretty special. I'm sure your wife would be thrilled to wear it and show it off.

Any chance of a photo?
