Quahog Pearl

Quahog Pearl

I found a pearl in a steamer clam.

I took my mother in law our for lunch and couldn't finish my meal so I brought home the leftovers.

I re-heated them for lunch a couple of days later and bit into this little gem.

It is tear drop shaped and actually shaped like a pop corn kernel. I ordered the clams from a local restaurant in southwestern Washington state.

I sure wish I knew if it is worth anything. There is a lot of conflicting information out there on the internet.

I'm looking for a pearl from Washington state (for sentimental reasons) for an engagement ring. Any chance you're selling that one you found in a steamer clam?

I'm from Vancouver, is this a sign that I should start ordering steamer clams? What a nice memento of a special lunch, congratulations!! So where should I be going to lunch this weekend?
