I was shucking a few quahogs last week and came upon this pearl...its perfectly round...any info would be appreciated.

the pearl is 7mm round...and 3 carats.

Hello Dennis,

Your pearl is lovely. The darker shades of purple like yours are so special and a perfectly round pearl is the most desirable shape for pearls.

Could you post the dimensions in millimeters and the carat weight? A friendly jeweler will hopefully be willing to weigh it for you. Natural pearls are generally sold by carat weight.
