Restaurant Customer in U.S. Virgin Islands

by Bill Terry
(St. John, USVI)

Today, at lunch, I ordered the crab legs. We were at the Lime Inn on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. In the very last piece crab, near the joint, I found a round, pale blue hard subject. We passed it around, even showed it the the kitchen staff, and everyone agreed that it definitely looked like a pearl.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for sharing about your crab "pearl". It sounds like the restaurant folks had not seen one before...maybe there will be others.

It's too bad these are not valuable, but they are a fun conversation piece.

Did your "pearl" keep its blue coloring? Or did it fade? Just curious.

Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us.
