Hi Janet,

How do you know you have Teej pearls? Are they labeled that? Just word of mouth? I'm curious. My best suggestion is to check out the wiki article here to learn about the Indian Teej festival. If there is more meaning to the pearls, I would be interested in learning about them myself.

Thank you for asking.

i also have Teej pearls
by: Janet

I am also seeking information about Teej pearls. I have two single pearls necklaces that were handed down to me after my mother passed away. I have no idea where they came from or how much they are worth. The sentlemental value is worth more than monetary value...I'm just interested in learning more about them.

Labeled?
by: Kari

Hi Judith,

Are your pearls labeled "Teej Pearls"? or did that name get attached to them verbally? Teej is a festival for Hindu women and often a mother-in-law will give her new daughter-in-law a piece of jewelry. You can read more about the festival here on Wikipedia. Perhaps your pearls are somehow attached to this celebration...just a thought.

Thanks for taking the time to ask your pearl question.
