What the??

(Bend, Oregon)

Well, same start. . . My husband and I were eating king crab legs and I bit into something hard. I pointed out the round hard "thing" and he said, "It's a pearl!" I laughed at him and said "riiiight." He kept it to google later, and sure enough here is this site! HA! It is probably about a quarter inch and white with some orange spotting. Who would have ever thought?

Ah yes..
by: Kari

Hi,

Ah, yes, glad you found my site. Even if these crab "pearls" are not technically pearls I thought they deserved a place to be shared because they do have several similarities to the real thing.

Did your "pearl" retain the orange spots or did they fade away?

Thanks for sharing.
