Found a Purple Pearl!

by Christine Sabatini
(Dallas.PA)

I recently found a purple pearl in a clam. It is perfectly round and the size of a pea. The lustre is not high. Please if anyone knows what I can do to have it appraised to know if it is worth anything. Please let me know.

Thank you

Hi Christine,

Nice purple pearls are often sold for about $200/carat. Having it appraised will give you a more accurate amount.

Gina, in Nashville, TN, appraises natural pearls. Her phone number is: 800-455-6602.

For sure, your pearl has value, especially since it is round and purple.
