Lavender quahog pearl

Lavender quahog pearl

Bought some oysters and clams today went home and fried them. Third bite and crack down on my tooth ouch! Spit out a small pearl. I think its a quahog. Any suggestions on finding value from the looks I'm sure it's not much.

Quahog pearls are rare and special
by: Kari

These are very rare pearls. You are lucky, as you say, to find one.

EGL in NYC appraises these between $200-800/carat. A local jeweler could weigh it for you so you can estimate its value.

Even if it's small. It's neat!
