The string on mother's pearls

My father gave these to my mother who passed away about a year ago . She was assured that they where authentic.The string is of 57 pearls approximately 8mm .We would love to learn more about them, and their possible value.

Hi John, Please give more details about the necklace. When you say authentic, what do you mean? Are they authentic cultured pearls? Authentic natural pearls? An authentic brand? Do you know their age? Origin? Thanks.
