Pearl found in Anchorage, Alaska Restaurant

by Carl Gatter
(Anchorage, Alaska)

About 4mm round

About 4mm round

I was having lunch with some friends at a local Anchorage, Alaska restaurant famous for their steamed butterclams in a wine sauce, when I bit into this little fellow.

I wasn't sure what to make of it so I brought it back and had to look it up.

It is about 4mm and very round, I'm thinking it would make a nice earring.

Lucky you!

Hi Carl,

Wow, I think it's pretty cool whenever someone finds a pearl. Are the clams from the local area?

I agree, it would make a lovely earring.

Thanks for posting!
Kari
