Is this a pearl? I found it inside the shell laying on the edge of the water.

That is quite a photo. Is that how you found it?

I don't know if it is a pearl, but if it is, it probably didn't come from that shell.

Would be a very unusual way to find a natural pearls, but it is possible. All things are possible, right?

It does make for a nice pair, though. They look quite snug together.

I'd take it to some local jewelers and see what they think, although, unfortunately, knowledge about natural pearls has fallen to the wayside these days.

Keep searching and find someone who knows what they are talking about.

Difficult to tell from just a photo.
