Chesapeake Bay pearl!

I was eating at The Galley in St. Michaels in the Chesapeake, and I ordered raw oysters on the half shell… and to my surprise, I found a pearl in the first oyster I ate. Been eating raw oysters for thirty years, never happened to me before. I was so overjoyed, I cried. :)

Hello, How fun to actually finally find an oyster pearl. Glad it made you so happy that you cried. I hope you can have something special made from it so you can save and enjoy it as a special blessing.

It's always rare to find a natural pearl. Somehow, each one is special.

I've recently enjoyed learning more about the Chesapeake Bay and seen it, swam in it, and driven over it by Norfolk, VA.
