I was in Seattle on travel with some work peers and ordered 1/2 dozen oysters advertized from Drayton Harbor in Puget Sound. I bit into the oyster and spit out a little white bead. Before I realized what it was, one of the waitstaff walked by and said how cool it was I found a pearl. I asked how common it was... She said she had worked at the restaurant for over 3 years and that was the second one she had seen.
