Found a black pearl, wondering how much it's worth

(kingston ON can)

I bought a little oyster kit here in Kingston Ontario Canada. The oyster was in a little see through can with the peel back tab on the top with water inside. Whew... not a pleasing smell at all let me tell you, lol, but anyway, I bought the kit for $20. Good price, I think, for a real pearl, plus my daughter of 18 years loved it. Anyway what I'd like to know is the same as I would imagine a lot of people would like to know also...is what it is worth? I would imagine it is fresh water, not sure, but it's a little black pearl of a kinda different shape. I don't think its the greatest one of its kind as it has this little ring all the way around it. I'm hoping someone can help me with the pricing of it, please. Thanks, Lance

Wish pearl
by: Kari

Hello Lance, Thank you for sharing about your "wish pearl" kit. Those are lots of fun and a nice way to "find" a pearl. The pearl would actually be worth less than $20 but for the experience and enjoyment of the activity it is not money wasted. Memories created with daughters are well worth the time and expense of opening a wish pearl.
