Mothers Day Pearl

My family and I were eating a great surf and turf dinner on Mothers Day. I was cracking a King Crab Leg and I felt something round near the leg knuckle. What the ... is this a pearl? We were so curious and excited about this shimmery, roundish thing, that we did some quick reserch online ... it is a pearl ...a small gift from one mother(Mother Nature)to another.
