Pearls at Hawaii Scuba Show

My mother and I were in Hawaii when we went to a scuba show. You could pay the Scuba divers $5 to go to the bottom of the pool and fetch an oyster for you. So we did and they opened it for us and it was a double pearl oyster. My mother then went and had it made into a ring. Do you know what the odds are on that?
