antique gold lavalier pendant with natural pearl
2 favorites from my personal collection:
The first is an antique gold lavalier pendant bedecked in natural seed pearls, an old european cut diamond, and a large pyramid-shaped Mississippi River pearl drop that measures approximately 12.5mm from top to bottom.
The last is an antique platinum stick pin with a GIA certified 10.5 x 7mm oval natural saltwater pearl and rose cut diamond collar. Dating from around 1900 it is by Carrington & Co and still lives in the original box. Carrington was granted several royal warrants including those of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Among their most famous pieces are Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee Necklace, The Dorset Bow Brooch, and The Cullinan III & IV Brooch. Although it’s just a stick pin, it’s still among the crown jewels of my collection and it’s so lovely to have even a little piece of such a storied company.
