3 pearls from Rarotonga

3 pearls from Rarotonga

While on holiday in Rarotonga last year, my sister her husband and a friend of ours dined at this lovely restaurant called "The Tumunu Tropical Garden Bar & Restaurant". The owner was really lovely and a bit of a comedian, but he was so nice that he gave me and my sister some pearls he had found on the beach that day. I thought this was so cool as my dad use to be a pearl diver at Manuhiki Island, Cook Islands. This was special as he is passed on, but symbolically felt as though he was there on holiday with us :)

Definatley

Definatly felt special and am planning to get jewlery made with these. A ring for the darker pearl, the bigger pearl can be a pendant for a neckalas and the smaller white one fit's perfectly into a gold bracelet that has a missing stone :)

Lucky you!
by: Kari

Oh my, people passing out natural pearls. That's totally amazing...and finding them on the beach is triple amazing. I didn't know pearls could even be found on beaches, but I guess it makes sense they'd be there. I'm going to look harder next time I'm beach combing. Do you realize how lucky you are? You probably do since you took the time to share you wonderful gifts. Thanks for sharing photos and for those of you who don't know where Rarotongan is, it is one of the Cook Islands. I hope you can make something special with the pearls so they can be enjoyed often.
