Abalone Pearl Collection from Baja Mexico

Hi I have been living in Baja Ca Mexico for about 6 years and during that time I began collecting abalone shells. (Lots of abalone shells.) One day I just started noticing the beauty of the blister, mabe and horn pearls inside these shells so I started cutting them out and collecting them too.I amassed a pretty good amount of these different pearls and Now I feel it is time to let someone else enjoy them.(maybe a jewelry designer or just a fellow pearl collector)These pearls were taken from 5 different species of abalone shell but all are from the Pacific ocean off Baja CA Mexico. The species are Haliotis fulgens, Haliotis rufescens, Haliotis corrugata, Haliotis fulgens, Haliotis k. assimilis. These pearls are fascinating to me . The pics don't do them justice as far as there color and luster.

Hello, Thanks for sharing about your massive abalone pearl collection. Your dedication of collecting has paid off with an impressive group of stunning pearls. I realize it is hard to see their beauty in this photo. Maybe you could send more photos and I can post them for you on this page. I love how you know the names of the types of abalone.
