Chesapeake Bay Quahog clam pearls

My father was a commercial Waterman and caught a lot of clams he could always tell which ones had pearls in them by the shape of their mouth. SO I thought I would share my story and all of the pearls he has found over the years.

My, what a wonderful collection of quahog pearls you have.

So many treasures!

And that big purple one is an especially beautiful one.

Some folks look for pearls all their lives and never find even one.
