Quahog Pearl

Quahog Pearl

My fiancé went quahoging on his lunch break today and took them home. Cooked some up and thought he broke a tooth on this "pearl". I don't eat these things so I initially told him gross it's probably from the dirt it eats. Well he was convinced and looked it up and found some similar pictures. I guessed maybe it could be possible so I found this site to see what you all think.
Thanks!

It's fun to hear about folks finding quahog pearls. It must be fun finding the clams, eating them and finding a free rare natural quahog pearl.

What will you do with it?

I like putting little pearls in cages on a chain. No harm done to the pearl and it still can be enjoyed and worn.

God bless and maybe you'll find more!
