Freshwater Blister Pearl Vancouver Island

by Sandra
(edmonton alberta ca)

I was walking the boom-logs because the tide was out, and I saw this nice shell so I picked it up and looked inside, I could see a white lump in it, so when I got it open, there was a pearl inside stuck to the shell. It is the size of a toonie ,and it's in the shape of a heart. This was on Vancouver Island around Lady Smith B.C.
